Spend three hours walking Roma Norte with a local food guide such as Ismael or Rocio, stopping at several taco spots and mezcal tastings. Expect regional taco styles, salsa, food traditions, architecture, and plenty to eat. The route suits curious first-time visitors, but comfortable shoes and an appetite are essential.

“The experience was absolutely wonderful, and it was great having local knowledge and experiences to share. Do not miss this if you are going to Mexico City. Our host Ishmael made the whole experience, he is a local and his knowledge of his culture, knowledge of the best places (would not be known to tourists) and his insights made it a terrific education and culinary delightful experience. And boy the tacos/food were amazing at each of the cool places along with the Mezcals. It was perfect. We particularly like one of the Mezcals and Ishmael went out of his way to get some for us and delivered to our hotel.”
